Carers Week Event - 14th June 2019

Carers Week will be held this year from 10th-16th of June.

This is a reminder that we will be hosting our own Carers Week event on Friday, 14th June from 11am-2:30pm.

The venue will be The Mews (35 Young Street, North Lane, Edinburgh EH2 4JD).

Herbert Protocol Launched in Edinburgh

Launch of the Herbert Protocol in Edinburgh

The Herbert Protocol is an information gathering tool to assist the police to find a person living with dementia who has been reported missing as quickly as possible.

The Herbert Protocol has now been launched in Edinburgh. We are encouraging people to find out more about the Herbert Protocol and pass the information on to anyone that it may be helpful for.

Research Project

Alice Spann, a PhD researcher from the University of Sheffield, is undertaking research in the area of caring for someone with Dementia and is looking for individuals who may be interested in participating in her study. The actual interviews are likely to take between 1-1.5 hours.

Research project: The potential of technology to help people combine work and looking after (caring for) somebody living with dementia.
