Next Carers Forum - 23rd November - 14 Links Place

Next Carers Forum - Thursday 23rd November

Time: 11:00am - 1:00pm
Venue: 'The Links' Room, Great Michael House, 14 Links Place, Leith, EH6 7EZ

At this Carers Forum we will be consulting on a proposed carer awareness training for health and social care staff. We'll also facilitate an open dialogue on any individual issues. Teas and coffees will be available throughout the meeting. Please feel free to bring along your own snacks or lunch if you wish, there is also a cafe located in our office near where the meeting takes place.

The Carers Forum is open to all unpaid carers (family, friends) supporting someone with mental illness, dementia, learning disability, autism, or acquired brain injury. It's a relaxed setting which enables carers to meet and look at information about current changes and developments within mental health, and to discuss and collectively address issues to move them forward to make a difference. We can also arrange for speakers to join us at Forums to talk about issues that are meaningful for you. You do not need to be a member of Edinburgh Carers to attend. The Forum is also a great place to meet other unpaid carers who may be in similar situations, and to share your experiences.

If you would like to attend the November Forum, please let us know by replying to this email at rachael@edinburghcarerscouncil.co.uk or calling us on 0131 322 8480.
