Peer Support for Carers

Edinburgh Carers Council now offers peer support as well as individual and collective advocacy.

Are you an unpaid carer who would like to meet someone who understands what it's like to care for someone with mental health difficulties or dementia? If so you could meet with one of our wonderful trained volunteers on a one-to-one basis to share your experiences with each other, learn coping strategies, and receive practical and emotional support.

Any unpaid adult carer caring for someone with mental health difficulties, a learning disability, dementia, or an acquired brain injury is welcome to get in touch with us. We will meet with you to learn a bit more about you, then match you with one our volunteer peer workers.

If interested or if you would like to discuss further, please get in touch by phoning us on 0131 322 8480 or emailing rachael@edinburghcarerscouncil.co.uk - we'd be happy to hear from you!
