Creative Carers Art Workshop

As part of the Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival (SMHAFF) we were delighted to be host a fun art workshop for mental health carers on Tuesday October 11th, from 12.30 - 3.30 pm. This year is the 10th anniversary of the festival so  marks a very special event with the theme of ‘Time’ being celebrated. The festival runs from 10 — 31st October and there is some fantastic events planned for venues across Edinburgh, Glasgow and Scotland, not to mention our Creative Carers Workshop event.

Thanks so much to everyone who came. It was lovely to meet so many lovely carers and have a chat while we did our artwork pieces.

Here is what some of the attendees had to say..

"Thank you for the opportunity to be creative and create sparkly things."

"Thanks to everyone for providing this lovely occasion. Today is the first day of the rest of my life, as I intend to carry on with this fun (and diverting) activity."

"I thoroughly enjoyed being creative and using the various material that was handed out. I felt less stressed and more relaxed, God Bless. I was able to take away something that I made."

"I didn't feel like 'playing' today at all - just wasn't in the mood-things just getting to me but...it took me a while to get going and switch off but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you."
